Playful feathered pets, regardless of gender and age, are characterized by a restless and carefree disposition throughout their lives. They constantly need to move and be mischievous. And at home, vigorous activity mainly takes place, of course, in the bird house. And the level of emotional peace depends entirely, first of all, on the purchased home. Therefore, based on physiological needs and natural data, cages for budgies should be comfortable, large and safe. This is where the bird will spend most of its life.
The right cage for a budgie - what to look for
- Size. Depends on how much time the pet will spend locked up. Sleep, food or most of the day? The more time he is locked up, the larger the size of housing he needs.
- Minimum. The minimum size of a cage for a budgie is: length not less than 40 cm, width not less than 25 cm, and height more than 45 cm. Remember that this is only a minimum, similar to the sanitary norm of 6 meters of living space per person. If possible, try to choose more spacious accommodation.
- Form. Choose models of a simple rectangular shape with a flat or semicircular roof; they are comfortable for the bird and easy for the owner to clean.
- Distance between rods. The optimal value is 1-1.5 cm.

Perches
A cage is a home for a feathered pet; without various amenities, living in it will be very uncomfortable. It is impossible to do without perches, which wavy animals constantly use not only for entertainment, but also to maintain the health of their paws.
